NEUMANN INTERNATIONAL DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT
Neumann International works to the following principles: professionalism, integrity, objectivity, accuracy, confidentiality and equal opportunity.
Neumann International has a clear data privacy policy in line with current EU data privacy directives. As such we embrace the following data protection principles: information, consent and legitimacy, personal data quality, proportionality, necessity, security and the right to access, correct and erase personal data.
- Neumann International will only process personal data which is relevant to, adequate and necessary for the stated purposes of collection.
- Neumann International shall not reveal sources of their information (without prior written consent) nor will we divulge a candidate's personal information (other than that publicly available) to a client without the candidate's prior awareness and written consent. Such information is considered highly confidential and it would be a complete breach of trust if such information were made available to third parties without the written consent of the candidate or if it were to be used for purposes other than a specific assignment.
- Neumann International's consulting activities are often international in nature and require the identification and selection of candidates across national borders. This may involve the international transfer of personal data within our internal network of offices including via our international database. Candidates or clients may request that personal data is not transferred outside of non-EEA countries.
- In the process of consulting activities we develop relationships with candidates which may last throughout entire careers. Candidates may be contacted in respect of a specific assignment, as a source for other assignments or from time to time the candidates themselves may seek career advice from our consultants. In order to professionally fulfil our consulting roles it is crucial we are able to retrieve relevant personal data efficiently; therefore we will retain information as long as it remains relevant to our focus of business.
- We will exercise reasonable commercial efforts to maintain our data bases as current and accurate. We will update a candidate’s file by checking personal data whenever the candidate is contacted and by encouraging candidates to rectify and correct their personal data whenever possible.
- We will update our database if we become aware of any inaccuracy with personal data.
- We will remove any personal data that has become obsolete.
- We reserve the right to remove an individual’s personal data at any time. There are many legitimate reasons why we must retain the right to manage our database by deleting or deactivating unqualified individuals. Individuals may not be qualified and therefore need to be removed from the databases for several reasons, including, among others, the following:
- An individual may be unqualified because we do not accept assignments in the individual’s area of experience or expertise
- Sometimes an individual becomes unqualified because we discover that the individual has supplied false or inaccurate personal data and we need to take steps to make certain the individual is not presented as a candidate to any clients of Neumann International.
- We guarantee, at any time, a candidate’s right to:
- Object to the processing of his/her personal data
- Revoke consent for their personal data to be processed
- Request deletion of his/her file
- In all the above cases, Neumann International will:
- Act on any opt out request from a candidate by removing all personal data except identification information to ensure that he/she will not be further contacted. This identification information will not be used for any other purpose than to avoid further contact.
- Act on any opt out request from a candidate by removing all personal data except identification information to ensure that he/she will not be further contacted. This identification information will not be used for any other purpose than to avoid further contact.
- Candidates have the right to access, rectify and erase their personal data.
- Neumann International will take necessary steps to make our clients aware of the obligations and rights relating to data privacy, especially with regard to their confidentiality obligations.
