Compensation Consulting
Neumann International’s Compensation Consulting provides companies
with up-to-date market information on salary ranges. We help answer the
questions organisations commonly raise such as:
- How much should we pay our managers and employees? In what proportions should the base salary and bonus be allocated?
- What are the usual benefits provided for respective positions, e.g. company car, company pension, insurance and stock options?
- How can we re-design our bonus system?
- How much should we increase salaries next year?
Neumann International has been regularly conducting salary surveys
for over 30 years. Neumann International’s unique structure has enabled
us to establish long-term business relationship with our clients. This
trust allows us to ask for sensitive salary data and receive credible
information.
Compensation Consulting provides two different services:
- An online compensation database www.neumann-compensation.com
- Individual salary reports
Online compensation database: www.neumann-compensation.com
Our online compensation database is a password-protected system
through which companies can access information on salary ranges of over
60 positions in more than 30 countries, from top management to entry
level positions.
Different selection criteria such as turnover, number of employees,
location and seniority of employees are available in the database to
ensure optimal relevance and accuracy of information. An online report
is generated and is available in several languages and
currencies.
Individual Salary Reports
For top management and industry-specific positions, we provide an
individual salary report where we define the analyzed position and the
related peer group.
Some examples of challenges we have assisted clients with
include:
“How much should I pay my new General Manager in Budapest? He is 45 years old, is from the FMCG sector with 20 years business experience. He is a local Hungarian and fluent in English and German. Our office in Budapest has 480 employees with a turnover of 50 million Euros.”
“I would like to benchmark our Head of IT Europe. The only
information I find in classical salary surveys is for the Head of IT of
one country. However, our Head of IT Europe is a function covering 17
different countries. He could sit anywhere in Europe, whether Paris,
Munich, or Prague. Our target peer group are large European companies
like Siemens, T-Mobile, Lafarge, etc. How much do they pay their
comparable regional managers?”
For individual salary reports we tailor the criteria to the
situation to gain additional insights from our vast database and ensure
a bespoke solution.
Discussing objective salary data is positive for all parties involved. Companies can be confident their employees are paid within the usual market ranges. Human Resource departments can add strong value to contract discussions. Candidates and employees are impressed and secure in the fact that their potential employer or employer has invested time and money to ensure that their salary package is market competitive.
