Serge Lamielle elected as Chairman of the European Board of AESC
The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), the worldwide professional association for retained executive search, announced the election of its European Board for the session 1 January – 31 December 2010. The European Board consists of 27 highly experienced retained executive search professionals including five European officers who also serve as leaders on the AESC’s global Board, along with representatives from the Americas and Asia Pacific Councils.
The AESC established a European Council in 1996 and opened a branch office in Brussels in 2004 to support its growing activities in Europe. Since 2005, the AESC operates as a truly global organisation reflecting the worldwide nature of the executive search business as well as the geographical spread of its membership. The Association is governed by a Board of directors comprised of five officers per region.
Christophe de Callatay, AESC Director for Europe, commented, “We are delighted to have a new leadership team in place, chaired by Serge Lamielle, CEO of Neumann International, to continue to develop the AESC in Europe. Our main challenge is to grow membership amongst top quality retained executive search firms and to strengthen communications with hiring organisations in order to better promote and explain the use - and best practices - of retained executive search.
