Gerald Mayer is Partner and Member of the Executive Committee of Neumann International and leads the international Financial Services Sector Practice Group.  

Previous Experience

Gerald has more than 25 years of international management and consulting experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Neumann International, Gerald Mayer was Executive Partner and Financial Services Practice Leader at Ward Howell for over ten years. In this position, he was responsible for leading numerous important executive search and assessment assignments for banks, insurances, other financial institutions and real estate clients, mainly in Austria and the CEE & CIS regions and became one of the market leaders in his field in the region. 

Before starting his career in executive search, Gerald Mayer gained over 18 years of experience in different senior and executive management positions, mainly in the banking and  management consulting industry in Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia. He was based in Austria, Germany, Italy and the UK.

Education

Gerald Mayer has a Doctorate in Law from the University of Vienna and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University, Bologna Center.
